England Highlights-Day 2: Walking around Cambridge

The second day in England we took a small tour around Cambridge.  We went to the Fitzwilliam museum and King's college which is were Jesse studied for the year. Thanks to Kelly for watching Ellie while we toured! :)
These are some neat pictures of the streets of Cambridge.

Yes, they have these phone booths ALL over England and people actually use them!

I was fascinated by the curvy lines on the streets.  I think they mean no parking there at anytime due to crosswalk/intersection.  Interesting:

This is King's College (a view from the front outside the gates).  It's SO amazing how old things are in England!  I guess compared to our 250 yr old country, everything seems old! :)

And this is King's college inside the gates (only fellows are allowed to walk across the grass).  This is a view from the front entrance:

Looking towards the front building:

In the afternoon we went to an evensong service at King's college where the boys' choir sang.  The singing was so beautiful it distracted us from the message of the service, but well worth seeing!
These are the boys heading off to the chapel:

This is the chapel:

Ok this really amazes me.  This is the dining hall at King's College:

Jesse and Kelly did not have a car (which is not uncommon in England as so much is within walking distance and public transportation is great).  So this is a little look at the walk home from King's.  Note the narrow streets.  I was so impressed with how small and close together things are. (That's Jesse in the picture):

Pretty walk through the park (still on the way home):

And this is the same park we were in on Day 1:

And that concludes Day 2! :) Stay tuned.
